Panicky Immune System - Global Warming/Climate Change

removing layers
It got so hot so quickly and both mornings, yesterday AND today,  I felt allergy symptoms coming on (only the third time or so in my 50+long life) during our walk in Central Park, but awarethat I have been having a bit of a cough for a while, I realized that it was my immune system getting panicky, the body's psychology, so interesting!  But the fragrance, just yum.

- Sniffle protocol to the rescue - it takes less than a minute and it did its magic, just like Marie-France Muller noted in her book*.  Despite dirty palms from touching Mowgli, I could do it right there and then - how convenient.

Focus on the Sound

Returning to another polar bear plunge in Coney Island after spending New Year's Day in Vienna last year.
Plunge number I don't know, maybe 22.  The temperature was in the 40s, am not sure about the water temperature, I like to say it's always cold.  We were part of the "green wave" at 1:10pm.  It was a very sunny day.

Embracing the Polar Vortex - Getting Fresh Air and Sun

snowy walk
Many people I know were getting sick of the cold weather this winter very quickly.  And at this point I am ready for spring, too.

However, once I embraced the snow and cold weather (polar vortex), I really had a great time.  Layering, of course, was the key; I must have looked 10-20 pounds heavier, but my walk with Mowgli in the morning is very important, and one of my priorities was to not get sick during the winter.  I wanted to get fresh air AND sun and it was easiest to do this in the morning.
